Saw throwing chain of guidebar

Saw throwing chain of guidebar

⚠️ NOTE: There is a high probability that the chain gets damaged after being thrown out of the guide bar.
Please make absolutely sure that refit is possible or replace the chain with a new one that properly fits your guide bar.

  • If the chain gets thrown as soon as you start the saw, it is very probable that you are not using the correct chain type/size or rim/drive sprocket.

  • If the chain gets thrown during use, then it probably needs to be clean and adjusted for tension.

1.
Make sure the chain is the correct type/size for your guide bar and rim/drive sprocket.

2.
Verify that the guide bar nose sprocket is not worn and replace it if necessary. See the Spare Parts link below.

3.
Clean the chain and guide bar before assembling the chain again. Instructions in the link below.

4.
Adjust the tension of the chainsaw. Instructions in the link below.

5.
Check the chain catcher for damage. If the chain catcher is damaged, replace it. Instructions in the link below.

⚠️IMPORTANT: If you don't feel confident or want advice in any of these steps, contact Husqvarna service in the link below.
